Summary: Chansung likes Hye Lim.
This is a 2PM / Wonder Girls story, so it's a little different than what I usually write. Still, I hope you enjoy~
They didn’t have to say much at all to understand each other.
Chansung would sit near the entrance of the JYP building, sometimes by himself, sometimes with Junho or another 2PM member. He would sip on his bottle of water, or his coffee. He would eat a banana or nothing at all and watch the clock silently, only saying something if he was spoken to.
Then the doors to the building would open.
Hye Lim would walk in with the rest of the Wonder Girls, looking tired but relatively happy. He would watch her walk, and sometimes she would stumble, which he thought was cute. She would look over to him, smile and give a slight bow, and then continue to walk, engaging in her previous conversation with Sohee.
These 20 seconds or so would leave his heart beating a little faster and his world looking a little brighter.
--
About a week later, Chansung was walking through the entrance doors of the JYP building. He was still tired from performing the night before, and his hair looked a little ragged. He yawned, covering his mouth with his hand, and looked at the nearby tables.
Hye Lim was sitting there, focusing on something on her laptop. Her hand was under her chin, and her face was taut with focus. He couldn’t help it, he watched her only for a moment as he continued to walk to the nearby elevator.
Then he saw it.
A tear gently cascaded down her cheeks, and she quickly wiped it away. However, more continued to fall, and she sniffed as she wiped them away again with her hand. It felt like something was squeezing Chansung’s heart. He couldn’t leave her there, that didn’t seem right.
He walked over to her and took a seat at the same table. “What’s wrong?” he asked quietly, looking at her. She turned to look at him, but said nothing. Her eyes went from him, back to the computer screen, as if telling him to look.
Well, that’s what he thought it meant, anyway.
He got up from his seat and walked over to the laptop in front of the crying girl. He bent down a little to see the laptop clearly. There, on the screen, were words like “Hye Lim is not a Wonder Girl” “Hye Lim is ugly” “Bring Sunmi back” and many other similar sentences. To add to this, someone has taken a picture of Wonder Girls’ ‘Two Different Tears’ album and cut her out of it.
He remembered something similar to this when Jay left 2PM, and Taecyeon’s pictures were cut out. Still, he could not believe people would do or say things like this. Seeing her face covered in tear streaks made his heart stop. While they had not spoken much, Chansung knew that Hye Lim was a kind, loving, and beautiful girl. He knew this very well…
Chansung wanted to say something to cheer her up, but no words came out. Instead, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into an embrace. She buried herself into his chest and began to cry quietly.
They barely knew each other, but they were sharing an intimate moment like this. But Chansung knew that she needed someone to help her through this, to be there to hide her tears, so he was there.
It was probably then that he knew he liked Hye Lim.

Jinwoon. Jinwoon Jinwoon Jinwoon.
They were filming for JYP Nation’s “This Christmas.” Jinwoon seemed to be getting close to Hye Lim, and they were laughing together and sharing fun moments.
Even if he didn’t want to admit it to himself, it made him jealous.
He walked over to the pair of them and joined in, forcing a laugh whenever Jinwoon said something that made her laugh. A part of him deep down knew that Jinwoon was probably the better man for her - he was funny, nice, taller than him, and closer to her age. But he didn’t want to let go.
He didn’t want to let go.
Eventually, Jo Kwon called for Jinwoon and he left. This left Chansung and Hye Lim by themselves. She smiled up at him, and his heart skipped a beat. Her smile, unlike when she was laughing with Jinwoon, was brighter . . . more sincere. She looked up at him with her big eyes and that smile, and Chansung thought to himself if the world ended right then, he would be okay with her being the last thing he ever saw.
He smiled at her too, and he was sure he looked strange. At least, he felt strange. His smile was from ear to ear and it even hurt a little bit. As weird as this moment may have seemed from the outside, it felt perfect to him.
Jinwoon didn’t seem like a big deal at all.
--
It was nearing midnight, and Chansung was out on the balcony in the JYP building. The air was crisp and cold and it tickled his nose and cheeks. It felt nice. He was thinking to himself about Hye Lim, and his feelings for her. He was pretty sure by now that he liked her, but would she feel the same way about him? Chansung knew that Jinwoon might still be an option for her, but he still wanted to hold her hand in that way.
Chansung felt someone tap his shoulder, and he turned to see Hye Lim looking up at him. She was smiling.
His heart began to beat again and he felt like an idiot or a high school student again - or maybe even both. They talked a little bit, mostly about the video they just filmed and how fun it was, and about the concerts for JYP Nation that were being planned.
It kind of slipped out. He really didn’t mean to say it.
He asked if she liked Jinwoon. Instantly, he regretted it and wanted to crawl into a corner and wait for the embarrassment to cool over. How could he ask that when their conversation was going so well?
She looked up at him, smiled, and then shook her head. She talked about Jinwoon being funny, but she didn’t think of him that way. Internally, Chansung sighed in relief. So he still had a chance. They continued to talk about the other members of JYP, and even about trivial things, such as their favorite Starbucks drink and what other music they listened too.
But then of course, Chansung had to be an idiot again. He really needed to learn to control his mouth, think a little more before acting. This time, however . . .
He asked Hye Lim if she would consider dating him.
She blushed (or at least, he thought she blushed), and looked at her feet. These couple seconds were just so agonizing to Chansung he wanted to run and hide in the bathroom or something. But then he realized that would be worse - what if JYP was there and had run out of toilet paper again? He figured he was better off waiting for her answer.
She didn’t say anything. Instead, she stood on her tiptoes and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
It was like fireworks exploding in Chansung’s head. He was so happy and he liked her and she liked him. This was perfect!
He bent down slightly to return the kiss, but instead of on the cheek, he gave her a peck on the lips. She blushed a darker shade of pink, and then smiled. He loved that smile.
He took her hand into his, and in turn, their hearts weaved together.
