36k shoutout (and rants)
So, didnt end up making it to the Write-in yesterday, thanks to my usual inability to get anywhere on time. I did go the the library though and check out an armload of books that made my dear brothers call me Naru-chan all afternoon. *sigh* I need all of them because once NaNo is over, I want to finish both The Hennepin House (the first book in my original paranormal investigative series, the first chapter of which can be read at my Fictionpress account) AND The Haunted Stage (which, as most of you who read my fanfiction know, is my Ghost Hunt contribution.). So Parapsychology is an avid interest right now. Now I just have to renew The Ghost Hunters Handbook until they wont let me check it out anymore :P
Speaking of, on going into my local Borders the other day, I discovered that not only do they NOT stock said guidebook, but CLAMP's Legal Drug is a non entity as well. Heck, they have every single VOLUME of Junjou Romantica-- but ask for Fake or Legal Drug or any of my more favored "tasteful" shonen ai manga (you know, the ones that have at least one page a younger brother could open to without being presented with a less than 18+ rated image) and they look at you like your crazy before informing you that no, they don't stock "that sort of thing." Oh, big bad CLAMP. I'm going to buy my manga online from now on.

I did buy Perry Moore's Hero there, though, which I am halfway through and loving :P I'll post a full review when I finish it-- and NaNo.
