I just heard something that pissed me off. I was walking home from class today and I saw this nerdy guy talking to some girl way out of his league. He said "Do I have you on facebook?" And the girl didn't know what facebook was. This guy was actually surprised that some one didn't know what facebook was. As if everyone in the world should have a fucking idiotic facebook account.
"I can't believe you haven't heard of facebook. Facebook is an online community where you can add other students as friends blah blah blah." He started giving a long definition of facebook and detailing it's dorky blogging features. It's like he was desperate to have an attractive girl on his facebook friendlist.
Why does everyone expect other people to be hip to lame internet communitys where people leave thought-provoking comments like "~hugz~" and "You've been hit by the beautiful truck!"? Yes, I have a facebook account, but I don't think that it's the most wonderful thing in the world and that everyone should have such a useless thing. And I pretty much have the same opinion of livejournal and myspace.
