Summary: Yamashita Tomohisa is convinced that he's a happy and fulfilled man until Tegoshi Yuya vanished from his life. After four long years, will he be able to smile again?
A/N: Sorry for the long wait. I didn't really get the time to type this one but I assure you guys it won't take long for me to update again. I recommend re-reading the PROLOGUE and CHAPTER 1 of this fic to refresh your memories about this story.

Chapter 2.
Everything after Tegoshi's comeback happened in a flash. Yamapi felt as if his life has just been fast-forwarded for the past 2 weeks.
True to his words, Johnny let the Press know about Tegoshi's return and the next day, the jimusho became filled with reporters both from magazines and t.v stations. All of them are eager to cover Tegoshi's return after 4 years and what happened while he was away. Tegoshi answered these questions with ease but managed to skip those that talked of his reason for disappearing so suddenly 4 years prior.
The whole jimusho seemed so chaotic but for Yamapi, he didn't mind it so much because he hadn't felt much more at ease than now in the 4 years that has gone by. He had wanted to talk to Tegoshi alone after what happened two weeks ago but the circumstances that followed made it impossible for him to do that.
There were times when they're alone in Tegoshi's dressing room but whenever Yamapi makes a move to start the conversation, a staff would appear and break the mood. And just like all of those times, Yamapi is again praying-wishing hard that this time around, no one will appear and bother them.
"Tegoshi,"
The boy turned to him at this, "Hai, Yamashita-kun?"
"Well, I was thinkin-"
"Tegoshi-san? It's time for your interview now. Please be at room 202 in 5 minutes." The staff said from behind the closed door.
Yamapi sighed in defeat as Tegoshi look from the door then back to him. "Nevermind, Tegoshi."
"They can wait,"Tegoshi said, smiling at him. "What is it, Yamashita-kun?"
"Don't worry, I'll just wait for you today." He said instead. "Let's talk it over dinner."
Tegoshi bit his lip at this and Yamapi thought the younger one would actually decline his invitation. A second, and Tegoshi slowly nodded his head just as they heard the staff calling for him again. "I'll be quick, then. I can't have you waiting for me thatlong."
I've already waited for you for so long. I don't mind waiting again just to see you, Tegoshi. Even if it takes forever... Yamapi thought as his eyes followed the retreating form of Tegoshi.

It was past 8 when Yamapi pulled over in front of his house. He was about to open his door when he saw the look on Tegoshi’s face. “What’s wrong?” He asked.
”Nothing, just… I thought you’d be bringing me to a family restaurant or something.”
”Well, we can do that if you want.” Yamapi replied pulling his seatbelt back.
”No!” Tegoshi quickly added. ”Here is fine.”
Yamapi would have smiled at the shy look Tegoshi has on his face that time if he hadn’t forgotten how to do just that. He wondered, as he walks Tegoshi to his front door, if he could ever smile again. Tegoshi’s back yet it seems that sadness has totally conquered him that even Tegoshi came back, he couldn’t just smile again.
They ate dinner that Yamapi prepared in a short time. They talked about everything and yet it seems empty. More of nothing than every thing. They proceeced in the sitting room after eating and after a short silence,Yamapi finally heard Tegoshi’s voice again. “Are you mad at me?”
”No,” Yamapi replied, his sincerity clear both in his voice and his face. “I was confused though… About why you suddenly disappeared without saying anything.”
Tegoshi bowed his head and avoided Yamapi’s eyes at that moment. Too much. It was al too much. He wanted to explain everything, yet, his mind was overloaded with too many words that he didn’t know which to say first. Another things was that he felt ashamed of what he did to Yamapi and to everyone else. He knew telling Yamapi and the others of his reason would only make things more complicated-and he didn’t want that too.
But now that 4 years had passed, he thought that maybe-they can understand that what he did was beyond control; that he has no choice… And that he finally came to realize that even if it were out of his control, he soon was able to accept it as well.
”Why did you leave me? Us?” Yamapi asked, hands cupping Tegoshi’s face. “Did I do anything wrong to make you leave like that?”
Tegoshi stared back at those black orbs looking at him. Again, he wondered if those eyes could ever forgive him of what he had done. “You did nothing wrong, Yamashita-kun. It’s me.”
Yamapi was surprised at this answer. “What do you mean?”
”I did something unacceptable… I don’t- I just…”
Seeing Tegoshi this confused and vulnerable was too much for Yamapi. He didn’t let Tegoshi finish his sentence and instead, pulled the other close to him, hoping that he could give him the comfort he needed that moment. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have pressed on that topic… I won’t ask you again about that… The only important thing for me right now is that you’re here…You’re back.”
”Yamashita-kun, gomen ne…”
”It’s okay… I don’t care about anything. Having you back is everything to me. That alone is enough to make me happy.”
Tegoshi suddenly shook his head at this. “Liar.”
”What?” Yamapi was taken aback by Tegoshi’s answer.
”You’ve never smiled even once ever since I came back. How could you even say that you’re happy that I’m back?”
”Anou…” Yamapi sighed. “Tego-“
”The truth is… Me coming back made you even sadder, right?” He paused, waiting for the other man’s answer but it never came. “I’m sorry.”
”Tegoshi-“
”You saw the pictures the jimusho took in private, right?”
Yamapi lowered his gaze before nodding slowly, his heart feeling constricted. “Who is she?”
This time, it was Tegoshi who cupped Yamapi’s face and met those black orbs again and at that moment, he felt the world crumble and his heart fell into pieces. It was what he’d been planning to say these past 4 years-what he wanted-to break Yamapi’s heart but now that he’d done it, he wished he could’ve done something instead. But just like what happened 4 years ago, these are all out of his control.
“Who is she? The girl you’re with in those pictures… Whos is she?” Yamapi asked again even though he already knew what was coming and that it’ll hurt him to no end. And then he heard that voice… That melodic voice that made him fall for him…and now, broke his heart into pieces as he heard those words…
”She’s the mother of my child.”
