"Otsukare!" Manager-san greeted the moment he stepped into the backstage.
The word was repeated for more than a dozen times and he felt tired of it. He knew they're all sincere about it but it's getting tiresome hearing the same words all over again. As he headed back to his dressing room, YamaPi muttered a few short replies to the people who greeted him on his way.
This is his life.
He shouldn't be complaining about simple things such as greetings for it's all part of his job. The job he had been aiming for since he was a kid. Now that he's at the peak, he could now say that he's the happiest person in the world.
Or at least, until the very second before he heard the news...
"Gone??"
YamaPi had asked the same question for the nth time now but no matter how many times he heard the answer, he still couldn't believe it. Or rather, he don't want to. "What are you saying that he's just vanished?!"
"W-well..." the staff stuttered in explanation. "We've been looking for him for the past 3 days already but there's no trace of him anywhere and even when we try contacting him, it's useless. We found his keitai in his flat."
"That's bullsh*t! The jimusho couldn't even contact it's own talent?!" YamaPi replied heatedly before softening as he saw how scared the staff was. "Sorry... That was uncalled for." Pause. "Did you found out why he left?"
The staff slowly shook his head and muttered, "No letter. No, nothing... It's like he vanished off the face of the earth on that night."
YamaPi felt as if he's shrinking fast, his soul being sucked out of him and his mind went blank. It sounds so impossible, yet the fact that Tegoshi was nowhere to bee seen was what made it all possible. Why would Tegoshi disappear on them like that? And worst, he left without any word of explanation for them to understand what the heck is going on.
"Yamashita-san, the jimusho will do it's best to find him so please don't think about this too much now. He mi-"
YamaPi's voice was strained when he cut the staff's sentence, "Oh? So now I should just forget about my boyfriend disappearing like that just because the jimusho says they'll look for him?" How could you know what I'm feeling right now? You all know nothing! It all means business for you and the whole jimusho!, he had wanted to add but could only stay silent in the end for he knew nothing good will come out of it.
With a defeated sigh, YamaPi turned back without another word and locked himself in his dressing room. He needed time to think; to understand, to ask himself why Tegoshi would just leave like that... And to recover the broken pieces of his heart.
