The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Struggles can lead to many outcomes. Often they can multiply, causing a downward spiral. Sometimes they endure, testing perseverence and resolve. This time, they have diminished for me. I come out of the cycle of darkness feeling different - charged with a new resolve, renewed with a changed perspective, invigorated with a new hope. While walking in the darkness (σκοτι&alpha), I have been melted by the fires of anger, annealed by depression, and hammered by doubts. Now that I see the Light again more clearly, I notice that I have been remade sharper, lighter, and stronger than before. I have felt the refining of the Maker's hand many times... (though I still remember the times where I tried to run from Him. I ended up as cold, hard slag on the bottom of some dark pit. Only when I submitted to the Maker's will was I made new again.)
Though I was not joyful at all through this latest trial, I find joy that future struggles will lead to further refinement. Praise be to that awesome Smith!
Now I prepare to finally go see Revenge of the Sith!!! I can't wait to finally read what's been behind all these spoiler-cuts!!
