4 weeks

As of today it will be 4 weeks till I leave for Japan. It's still kind of surreal. I got my JR slip for my rail tickets, and the money is out of my account (and in Elizabeth's cause she booked the flight/hotel) which makes me feel at ease. I'm not used to having a lot of money in my account, so I feel a bit uneasy, especially if I have to save it. BUT, I did good and I didn't spend it.

It was a bit less than I thought, so I was left with about 600. I had to use 100, BUT, got my gst cheque which replaced what I had to spend. I've been working more hours lately which means I will have two good pays before I go away. It's hard because I have school on top of it all, but it will be worth it.

So, with these two good pays, I will make enough to take care of my bills etc, and the rest will be put to my trip. I plan to have 1000 for food/shopping. Before, I thought I would only have 300-500 to spend, which would pbe pretty much food. However, I'm confident I will have 1000, and if not, it wont be anything less than 800-900.

Which is way more than I thought I would have

I don't plan to go on a crazy shopping spree. I didn't do that in NYC last year. Actually, I didn't HAVE the money to do that in NYC.

Messed up thing is I spent more money 3 days in Halifax than I did 5 days in NYC. hahaha! But, if I am careful, I will be OK.

Really though, it's not like I will find any clothes that will fit me in Japan, so that just leaves me with accessories. I was thinking of a nice purse, but I'm not going to be getting L.V. or anything. haha. I was thinking of looking for a unique handbag that someone made? if they have a market or something that would be nice. I hear they have a big market near Yasukuni shrine, so maybe we can go there? I read about Yasukuni shrine in a book. It's kind of like memorial to those who died in WWII. When Koizumi Juichiro was Prime Minister he used to go and pay his respects there, but it was such a huge scandal for whatever reason. I'd like to go. It's across the street form the imperial palace too, and Budokan!

So, I really have to do my research. I like to be prepared. I don't like to plan the entire day out, because we are going for 13 days and we have lots of time to do things. Elizabeth says she just likes to walk around sometimes. I think thats what I want to do too. Just, absorb everything. :D

sometimes you go on a trip and dont have much time, so you end up running around and only remembering your trip though your pictures. I want to have the time to take things in. Of course, there will be times we will probably be running around and look back and pictures and be like...Uh, kinda remember, lol. but, I want to some calm days too. haha

So, I wonder if the trips to Nagoya, Osaka and Hiroshima will be each a sepeate day. OR, if we can stop in Nagoya, visit my friend, and MAYBE she can come to Osaka with us? She says she loves Osaka, and her friend Yuki lives there.

Yuki is otaku. lol. But he speaks some english, and added me to his facebook. LOL. he seems nice (omg, almost wrote seme, HAHA)

I think she says she has a weekend off sometime in May. Since we probably wont be travelling a day or two before we leave, maybe we can start using the JR tickets on the weekend? Hm. Will have to really sit down and think about it.

Anyway, as I was saying, I like to have some kind of intinerary (i know that is spelled wrong) so, when I get some free time (god knows when since school and work has pretty much eaten all my time) I will hop on google maps, and whip out my tavel guides.

BTW, I have a guide for JAPAN and a guide for TOKYO

Athena also makes a better door than a window. She just walked right between macbook and me. She likes my puter. Orion likes to siton the keyboard. I don't let them, but sometimes it happens.

I have to work today and tomorrow, then back to school. next weekend off, BUT, I will be going to the sugar camp with elizabeth. FUN!

Well, I better go for now. I work at noon and I have a few things to do.
