I start work at Jean Coutu Pharmacy (the store part obviously) tomorrow. 5-10. I'm a bit nervous. I've been going in there to shop since my apartment is accross the street for about 3 or 4 years. So I've started to kind of get to know the staff, although I dont know everyone's names.
It will be a bit strange to make the transition from customer to staff. I hope i do well, its been about ... well, 3-4 years since I've worked retail. BUT, I feel that I learned a lot while I was at Sears that I can put to good use there.
I remember when I first started retail I didnt really understand how to approach people, or to greet them. Even just a smile or a nod to let the customer know you see them can help so much. Lets hope I haven't lost those skills. Lets also hope I dont come to hate this job like so many others. lol. I think customers face to face should (SHOULD) be better than a call center. From memory, which isn't so good sometimes...btu from what I can remember the percentage of shitty cranky customers was much higher in call centers than it was for me at Sears.
Anyway! I'll do my best.
Now I need to write an essay and emulate a painting of Mary Cassatt. :)
