everything was passed in yesterday.
so now its wait and see.
I'm very anxious.
I dont want to be rejected, yet on the other hand I'm very afraid of what will happen if I am accepted. If I am accepted I have to then apply for my loan, which would be applying a bit late.
Now, the director wrote to me in an email "We have a 30 day "money back" policy that allows students extra time if they need it, to arrange financing. We have however, found NB student loans very good lately on approving and processing loans."
What do you think he means by money back? Do I pay upfront, then get reimbursed if my loan goes though (I can't afford that!) does it mean he will give me an extra 30 days into the classes to get my loan shit sorted out? (I would hate to go to classes for a month and then find out that I wont be able to get my loan and have to leave the course)
That does make me feel better, but only slightly. I've never applied for a student loan before. Plus, I've been working for 9 years (maybe 10 not sure) I dont have any credit cards, and while my bills may have gone in to arrears at times, I've never had any go to the collectors office (which is good)
ONE bill is in my name, the phone bill. Andrew is in charge of paying the bills, while I take care of rent. So sometimes the bills do not get completly paid off, but he always puts money on it every month. (I wish he could keep up with them, we only pay for rent/cell phones/internet/power) -- no cable or any other crap.
anyway, those of you in Canada w/ student loans, do you think that would affect me getting one? Also, does the govt ever reject a request for a student loan? (I'm scared of that)
I think I would feel more at ease about this if I felt more confident about the loans etc. I really do not know how it works. I try to read about it and I get distracted. lol.
Anyway. I'm going to eat my watermellon. I work at 11:15 today (which means I am off at 8:45 which is rare)
I happened to call in on a day that I was supposed to work 1:45-10:15, they probably know I lied. I hope no one talks to me about it.,
I dont want to say that I've applied for college until I know I have been accepted. also, going as a full-time student, I can't work if I apply for a full-time student loan Right? thats what I have been told.
I dont want to work. I want to enjoy a college students life FINALLY (where I did not go to college at all after HS) Plus, if I am there all day, I doubt I can go to work 5-12 get up again early and be able to do any kind of home work. wehre the home work will probably be painting, drawing, or animation. There is even a art history module (which I love art history so I think I would do well)
But say, in the summer months, I decide to move on to their graphic art course, which is 10 months instead of 8, I should be able to work in the summer, right? Then I would apply for another loan to cover the next year?? Is that how it works.
Wow. I am so confuzzled.
ANYWAY! I'm sorry about all this school stuff. its very new to me. I never thought I would be applying to go to school 10 years ago. HELL< I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD BE LAST MONTH!
but thats how it works for me, pretty spontaneously.
and I have to admit, I can't wait to get out of the call centre thing!!!
