Don't worry so much over my "birthday surprise". Hehehe. You know I'll always manage to find a legion of Freudian slips in your work, enough to keep me nosebleeding in the days to come. ^__^

In other news: I just did my first 10km practice run around my old university's Academic Oval! Without stopping! Without exploding into a million atomic subparticles each seeking a cheeseburger while simultaneously assaulting random people!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
But the awesome part was that I ran into a university icon- Zorro. He's this guy who runs around the campus dressed like Zorro (hence his moniker) or in other zany costumes. He usually mumbles to himself in English (our second language) and is very friendly with other people despite his odd behavior. He would often join campus rallies and even sit down and have conversations with students hanging around at the Arts & Sciences hall. Legend has it that Zorro used to be a brilliant student but somehow suffered a breakdown. Fortunately, his family lives close to the campus and takes care of him. Every UP Diliman student loves him and regards him as an integral part of UP life. As we would say in our vernacular, Zorro is an institution unto himself. :)
So there I was, running my 7th km when I find Zorro standing at the side of the road. We make eye contact and I flash him a genuinely friendly smile. Of course, I normally wouldn't do it with any other stranger, crazy or not. He extends a hand, I shout "High-Five!" and we do a high-five as I pass him by. And then in my 9th km, he's still standing at the sidewalk and holding a flag. He sees me approaching and walks over to meet me.
I smile at him again.
Perhaps, to reassure me, he says (in English), "I'm not a bad guy, okay?"
I reply (in English), "I know that! High-Five Again!". We did another high-five as I passed him by.
I told Miffy about it and he thought it was way awesome. :D
