je suis un tigre de l'Amour; l'amour est mon devoir

So what's going on lately?
Well, we finally have new roommates. The lovely and adorable kiba_wolf_pup and his equally lovely and adorable brother Seto have moved in. Kiba took the downstairs room and Seto took the upstairs one, so we're pretty much a full house about now. Oh yes, and they have dogs, too.
I went to Furry Fiesta in Texas last weekend with Kiba. The highlights I suppose were meeting johndice2012 and hanging out with him and dogaidragon and Kiba; the con itself entirely failed to grab me. I didn't catch a single panel, though I did watch Bucktown's show and the variety show. I think the lack of a dedicated tabletop gaming room didn't help me much either, though they did have a couple of games out in the consuite-I caught a game or two of Pirate Fluxx on Saturday morning before everyone ran off to bed.
Around the beginning of the year when I was planning what I'd save up for I thought I might catch MFF at the end of the year, but I think I'll save my money this time for one of my other larger savings goals-probably a new computer. Both my laptop and my desktop are feeling their age, I think. The other major thing I was already planning on saving up for is a new and larger bed. I expect the springs to come out on the one I have any day now (as they already have on the reverse side, and on the other mattress the bunkbed set came with). But then, I've been using this bed since high school; it could surely have done worse.
For those who haven't already heard me going on about it every now and then, I have set up an instance of Android on my desktop and have been using it to play Wordfeud (as kohath) and Words with Friends (as rattymuke), so if you're on either of those, hit me up for a game (and if you're on both of them, I'd much prefer Wordfeud).
I'm now six months into the six-year calendar I set up in September. As expected, a couple of hours a day for two months for each task isn't turning out to be near enough.
Current reading is The Rails Way, RailsSpace, and Plutarch's Lives of the Noble Grecians and Romans. I still haven't caught up to January 2010 on my books-to-read list.
Every time I hear someone complain of boredom...
