Ambers79 Comments: When I first thought about subbing this concert I wasn't to serious about it. It was just and idol thought since it was Kagrra's last concert, I was somewhat fond of them, and the concert itself wasn't going to be widely avaliable to people. I knew it would be expensive since I would need to have most of the songs translated on top of the cost of the dvd, and I wasn't really sure whether I would like the majority of the songs enough to actually sub the entire disc. It wasn't until I got the dvd and watched that I really fell in love with Kagrra and decided I wanted to do it if only for myself.
Before watching this I never understood when people said a group was one you had to see live. I much prefer studio cds over live tracks and some groups I really don't like listening to live at all. D=Out's live clip I subbed pops into my mind fairly quick as a good example. Kagrra is the first group that I can really tell the difference in a good way. I much prefer listening to many of the songs from this concert opposed to their cd tracks that I have. It isn't just watching them on stage but the music itself seems fuller and more ...complete maybe. There were several songs that I hadn't heard before, that I really fell in love with as well. It was really hard to chose one song as a preview, although I did try to chose one that a translation for the song wasn't widely available as well as one I enjoyed. I also Ioved the interview section include a lot of interesting little tidbit about each of the songs that made the concert even more interesting to watch, although I not really sure why the summation of each members feeling about the end of Kagrra was included in the backstage portion instead of the interview part.
The performance itself was edit very well the annoying crowd scenes I whined about in Gackt's concert are few in this one and not nearly as annoying. They move around through the various members with little creative angles usage and actually the lighting for the show was very well done. There were alot of small interactions between the members that were caught as well despite the fact the band itself didn't bounce around the stage alot.
With so many things that have happened to Kagrra this year I think for a lot of fans this is a must see concert. When I first watched it I was sad at the end but I had hoped at one point even if it was ten years from now we might see Kagrra do another project together. Now the fact that isn't possible anymore makes this even sadder to watch. Knowing this really was there final concert and we will never see them again all together on stage actually made me cry in a couple place watching it. It definitely is worth watching even if you are a causal fan of the group.
Notes:
For the most part the "Thank you", "Sing for me", "Are you doing good?" and general things to get the crowd going haven't been subbed. Every song has been subbed with Romaji and English and when Isshi did talk for any length of time those sections have been subbed as well.
Kagrra songs are harder to translate than most lyrics and top of this the two that did all the song translation are NOT Kagrra fans or even J-rock fans so they didn't go through and listen to every song. That being said there are a few places where there is a word wrong. I know i subbed every single word Isshi sang so I know they are there. They are minor so please don't ask me to resub this for one word in whatever song you found and error, please just bear with it and enjoy the subs as a fan made project :)
Raws have already been shared over at kagrra_media --> Here I have checked the .ass file for the concert and they work so if you have already download the concert from there and don't want to download it again you can just download the .ass file drop it in the same folder as the concert and rename it so both files have the same name and you should have subs. You WON'T have the karaoke effects or the nice font but it is color coded to at least match the lighting of each song.
I've color coded the backstage and interview like most JE subbers do. Akiya is blue, Nao is red, Isshi is yellow, Shin is green, Izumi is purple , and everyone is black. Sometime it was hard to tell in the backstage who was speaking so I tried my best, if I got it wrong I am sorry.
I usally don't ask for anything for the subs but it would be nice for a simple thank you for this one. It was very expensive to get translations for the songs, interviews, and backstage stuff along with the cd. It also was very very time consuming to do. You don't have to write a report but a simple "Thank you" would be very nice :)
