Rambling updates and Smap collaboration
I got a lot done this week compare to the past few weeks. I was really wanting to sub some pvs since I feel like I've been neglecting them again. I was a little limited on what to sub since my dvd players is busted, so I couldn't rip anything this week. I had to choose from what I had already ripped off or something I downloaded. I'm also still in a translation dead zone, unless I want to sub more Buck-Tick :) I like to jump around and not sub alot from one artist at a time so I picked some of the trans I've had for a while and some of the new ones I sent to Tetris this week. I'm hoping to get a new dvd player this week since I get paid today, so I proably do something from Gackt next week and I got Lolita 23q Bad city and the new Fest Vainquer song translated so I might do one of them.
Since I've had ripping problems I couldn't rip off Superdrive's making either. Instead of waiting I went ahead and skipped it for now and sent the next couple of videos to be translated. I'm not sure what I will do next week for sure yet. I'm think either YFC on MusicRu or SmapXSmap with Tackey and Tsubasa.
My recent Smap fetish has lead me to asking
smappiesubs to do a collaboration with me on a Santaku special. I really really didn't want to do a 2 hour long program but I love the Santaku specials. I haven't watched them all yet but the ones I have downloaded are great. We haven't worked out all the details yet but I'm still rather excited. I probably shouldn't have started watching Smap variety shows. My interest in Smap mainly laid in Kimura and Tsuyoshi's drama work. I really hadn't download to much Smap related stuff. But when I was sick last moth I ended up watching alot of SMAPXSMAP and started to get more interested in the group, much like I did with Arashi. But there is a big difference between the two where most Arashi stuff will eventually end up subbed Smap isn't as lucky. So now I've added another group that has interesting shows I want to see subbed, but doesn't have a huge fan base subbing them.
I actually kind of feel a little strange as a subber since most sub communities or journals seem to deal exclusively in one artist/group. Yet I end up with a wide range of things that pop up in this journal for subs. Yet I think I would get bore just subbing one group even if it was one that I loved like Gackt or Kat-tun.
