I had the best day yesterday. Hung out with Chris at his house late morning/early afternoon. Then we hung out at my house for the rest of the day: Watched three DVDs with my brothers and Scott and my mom (for a bit); ate lunch and dinner. It was just really nice.
GOT THE SYSTEM TICKETS!!!!! Uncle Bill could only get two (for me and Chris), so I'm paying half for Cody's for his birthday present. It'll be Cody's first real concert, so I'm really excited. Plus it's just gonna be fun to go to a concert with Chris too, and then stay the night at Auntie's in Hampton. Ah! I can't wait! ^___^
So Cody will be 15 in 18 days, and I'll be 18 in 21 days! Yay! I actually dunno what I'm so excited about. It's not like I'm having a party, and everyone's gonna be off at college long before then. I don't even have my license yet! Plus, the summer's almost over. Goddammit. Oh well. I still had a perfect day yesterday, and I'll be thanking God for it for much longer than I'll be upset about the other stuff.
I'm supposed to have my senior pictures on Wednesday. I'm really not looking forward to that. Plus my mom is coming with me since I can't drive, and I don't think that'll be fun. Oh well.
Oh yeah! My house got struck by lightning last Saturday while my family was on vacation at a sucky cabin in Northern Virginia.
House damage report: Some of the siding on the corner where it hit started to peel off, and the cornice (4-inch nails and all) flew off into the neighbor's yard. Dad got all the fixed up tho.
Everything else damage report: It hit our cable line so we didn't have the phone, internet, or cable TV for a couple days. The phone is fixed. The cable TV is still fucked up and my parent's are getting really fed up with Comcast. The internet only works on my computer because the strike blew our router and modem. Also, it fried the TV in the front room, fried the speakers on Logan's computer, fried the power strip in the office, and fried the mother board on my dad's computer (which apparently costs $900 to repair). So yeah. Got a new router and modem; working on everything else.
Anyway, I've got a lot to do today so I should get going.
To all rising college freshmen: I know I haven't been on in a really long time (even before going to the cabin and coming back to find all means of communication in my house fucked), so I really have no idea what's going on with everyone at the moment. I know everyone's getting ready for college, so I wish you all the best of luck. I miss you already (especially those I haven't seen all summer), and I'm going to miss you all--you don't even know how much. I love you guys so much, and I'm praying that you have the best freshman year ever.
