Hi I'm looking for a story I read in the last year or so... not more than 2 years.
It starts when Spencer is young 10 or 9 or something like that. A new neighbor moves in to the town house? connecting walls so he hears the noises from Spencer's side. He is an retired navy seal. He helps Spencer and eventually adopts? him not sure. He teaches Spencer how to protect himself. Spencer grows up goes to college becomes Dr. Reid with all his cannon degrees. Then goes into the navy and becomes a seal. He is injured, retires joins the FBI and the BAU...
