*These strategies and this duality aren't new; date back at least to Funkadelic and psychedelica and dub, plus similar strategies coming up from old "avant gardes" I don't know much about. Wrote about this back in the Voice.

**No longer doing teaching-type stuff, though. Decided to take my social security rather than go back to being a teacher's aide. The decision wasn't 'cause of the virus but wouldn't have happened without it: I kept hoping the infection numbers would be high so that I wouldn't have to go back to in-person teaching, too bad about the dead: I felt this way because in my heart I wanted to concentrate on writing and on music, I realized. (And now I can go back to hoping the virus wanes.)
