So this is my first entry in my first live journal...I'm not sure how I feel about this whole thing. I figure I'll give it a shot. My friend Ryan's journal always makes me smile, so maybe I can make someone else smile too.
A bit about me: I live in Richmond VA and work two jobs that just barely pay the bills. I am moving to NYC this summer and have applied to Pratt Institute in Manhattan to study library and information systems. I want to be a children's librarian and work with Spanish speaking kids new to the country.
What makes me happy (a short list):
Theater
Art
Books
My mom's baked ziti
The bright green buds on the trees in early spring
My wonderful bitchy friends
Margaret Cho's website
What makes me sad:
Americans visting other countries who refuse to try to speak the native language
G.W. Bush
The fact that the Goochland county school system is cutting gym, art and music for its elementary schools
The fact that my sisters and momma live far away
So that's a bit of me...more to come
