If everything ends well, what would the characters do for two years while waiting for things to cool down (probably far from Night City).

Hmm. Well, pretty much everything I described in the previous post. If Dervish is agreeable, Jack wants him to develop HDC to become a force to improve the world, not run it or tear it down like he feels the conspiracies and other corps and governments are. Use it to improve people's lives while hacking at those that make their power on the backs and corpses of others. Network the current SIU team to those ends, assisting them with their goals while having them assist him with his.

One of the fun things right now is trying to cast an eye towards the near future while speculating what the long term affects of what has come to pass would be.

The destruction of Merci St.Clair's and Lydia Stryker's dreams and the consequences to their detractors has made far more deeply reaching changes than even I thought through at first. A chain reaction of dominoes are collapsing in all directions from a single source like a sunburst logo (or a frag grenade, to be less poetic about it).

The changes truly reach from the depths of dark Africa to the vacuum dancing stations of the Orbital Concerns.

The characters are in a unique position to recarve the landscape of the future.

Raya is very aware of that, she still feels it is her Duty to make things better.
She understands how HDC can help by developing and marketing the Hard Card stuff.
But she is more "hands on".
As Jared observed, she is a Warrior.
She feels most at home actually fighting and protecting.
She will keep contact with the Team and even work with them if offered.
Just understand that even more than ever she feels "outside". She is intelligent enough to understand some of the implications of what she is.

*"Just understand that even more than ever she feels "outside". She is intelligent enough to understand some of the implications of what she is."*

...and also understand that if she tries to walk away and hide from certain people she's going to get an AMR gun barrel wraped around the back of her thick head. They won't put up with not being a part of her life just because she's "different".

Feeling outside and running away are two different matters.
She will hold Logan to his date invitation.
She is also watching Vic carefully, but not for the same reasons.
As to marketing and such she says
"I am no Capitalist, leaving that to the Experts *nods to Dervish*"
She is rather fond of him, in the same way one is fond of an eccentric Cousin.

I wouldn't be using an AMR gun, but I would be nice enough to take the combat gauntlet off first.

Leise is absolutely brilliant, and therefore excentric, like me.

Dervish would be entirely with the idea of having Jack be the CEO of HDC for public purposes. Plus, Dervish can do what he does best- collecting up money & resources- while Jack does the more prosaic work of figuring out how to change the world. It would also give him- and anyone else who is on the 'board' of HDC- a 'respectable' public persona, an image whitewashing.
