The Battle

Left brain: Is it starve a cold and feed a fever? Hmmm... or is it feed a cold and starve a fever? Uhh... it was, ummm...

Right brain: I know you'll figure it out eventually. When you do, keep it to yourself. In the meantime, pass the raspberry newtons.

What I thought on Sunday was just a little dust tickling me nose, and what I thought on Monday was just a mild nasal allergy to who-knows-what has on Tuesday turned into a headcold.

And fever. And runny nose. And a little headache. And sneezing. And glassy eyes. And tiredness. And an inability to concentrate.

Let's hope that skipping a glass of wine in favor of Theraflu with all its curative powers will help me sleep tonight so I can function the rest of the week.

Left brain: Yep, a dose of this theraflu ought to help me sleep and hopefully at least half function tomorrow.

Right brain: A couple of glasses of wine and the theraflu and you won't care about any of this. But instead of going to the wine rack to pour us a glass of that new shiraz blend, you've pattered into the bathroom and reached for the toothbrush.

Twit.

The Theory of Elementary Waves: A New Explanation of Fundamental Physics

At the Elliott Wave Int'l site they're suggesting the above book, of which R. Prechter is its editor. The book is already listed on Amazon, and the product description there implies its theories will strongly challenge the theories and associated body of thought brought to us by quantum mechanics. If so, we're in for some interesting years ahead: do we finally get that anti-matter space warp engine we've only flown on our TVs and in the theaters for the last 40+ years?

Too bad I don't have this book here tonight. It would give Left brain something to do while Right brain gets down to what it does every night:

Try to take over the world, without getting off the couch.
