I'm vaugely considering doing the NaNoWriMo thing.
Though the only way I'd ever hit 50000 words is with somw post modernist (modernist? whichever one lacks any kind of plot) piece of crap.
Of course with my luck some yuppie critic would decide he likes it and get me remembered for a piece of tripe.
On the other hand I have some characters I could adapt to it pretty fast, and it'd give me a chance to do some things with them that I couldn't do with a real story. For that matter I don't think I could put them into a real story.
