I wrote this poem after my first Calc I test freshman year. I went on to get a B+

I feel like crying, but no tears will come.
When will I know all I need to know?
Sadness is pointless; the work has been done.

I studied so hard, away from the sun.
I knew it all, but was simply too slow.
I feel like crying, but no tears will come.

The test has been taken; did I get even one?
I bang my forehead in an expression of woe.
Sadness is pointless; the work has been done.

Regrets are for the past, from it do not run.
I can do better. My Will, will not bow.
I feel like crying, but no tears will come.

The battle is lost, but the war will be won.
My strength will stay firm, upriver I row.
Sadness is pointless; the work has been done.

Excuses are plenty, I will listen to none.
The season is early. I'll reap what I sow.
I feel like crying, but no tears will come.
Sadness is pointless; the work has been done.
