Because of cold weather and hand shrinkage, the silver ring that Joey designed for me (and asked that I wear on my left hand ring finger) flew off at some point on the 26th.

Such a beautiful token that I had kept carefully for 6 years is gone

Actually when me and Maii first got married, I had a simular thing happen to my wedding band. Cold snowy night, wearing gloves, took them off and away went the ring. I'm sorry to hear about your token but remember it is just a token and I'm sure Joey will get you something just as nice real soon.

Yeah, they shrank. Initially, I lost a whole ring size due to a little weight loss, so I couldn't wear it on my ring finger anymore. Then, due to colder weather, my fingers shrank a little bit more and that was enough to loosen it from my middle finger. :(

You're right, it is just a token. I have been advised that I have to purchase a replacement myself, so I'm saving saving my pennies ;>
