"In your text, read pages 1 to 23, “Introduction: Ways of Reading.” As you read, mark passages that you found particularly interesting, either because the authors’ words describe something familiar to you about your reading and writing processes, caused you to wonder what they are talking about, or provoked you to disagree with what they have stated. There are nine sectional headings to the chapter, you should mark at least one passage from each section. When you have finished reading, develop a journal response that summarizes your overall reaction to what you have read. (Write one paragraph of about 150 words).
Next, choose five of the passages and copy them verbatim into your journals being certain to identify the section title and the page number from where the passage occurs. Now write a paragraph for each transcribed passage that explains to another student why you have marked and transcribed them, making reference to the criteria noted above.
Finally, choose two of the five passages transcribed and connect your responses to a specific text or texts you have read in the past or have read recently. Cite the text(s) and the author(s) and explain in a paragraph or two how your experiences with the text(s) illustrate the concepts discussed in the section by Bartholomae and Petrosky. By the time you finish this journal assignment, you should have approximately six to seven paragraphs and journal entry of between two to three pages. (Use Times New Roman/12 and Double-space your document). Bring a printed copy of your journal entry to Thursday’s class."
ok so that is the assignment that i have to finish tonight. it took me all day to highlight in the textbook. now i have to write a freaking paper on what i just read. i dont give a frick about what i just read. i just want to go to bed. but i think i am going to be up all night just doing this assignment and i have one more to go >.< all i want is sleep. and not to mention that I emailed my writing prof on wednesday and its monday night (one more hour and it will be tues) and i still havent heard back from him. this is fucking great. i have no clue what i am doing and i need to get it done by 2 tomm >.< along going to my classes >.< I say fuck the assignment and tell him that i was too busy trying to heal and catch up in my other classes. gah i hate this. i wish i was able to be super busy and still able to turn stuff in on time.....so jelous of Nakamaru >.< well i am going to bed......in 4 more hours >.< nighty night people of LJ
