On Sunday June 5th, I'm participating in the
Ride for Heart again this year, in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. This is the charity fundraiser were you get to bike on the Gardiner and DVP!! I had so much fun
last year, so I'm pumped to do it again. I have a new goal, to raise $200 for Heart and Stroke Foundation research. My grandmother died of a stroke, so it's personal!!

Along with raising money for this great cause, I'm also trying to promote healthy lifestyles. I'm not saying that everyone needs to stop eating chocolate and go run a marathon, but just be more aware what food you're eating, and getting out for a 30+ min walk every now and then. By just keeping up a semi-active lifestyle you can greatly reduce the risk of countless number of illnesses (including strokes!). It's always hard to fit things in your busy schedules, but you feel so good afterwards. I love to go walking during my lunch hour. I'll pack a lunch and just eat it when I get back.
