oh it hurts to always have to be honest with the one that you love.
i went downstairs to go show my parents the painting i did for them for the family room and my dad sat me down to do something with the chess board. he made me make the last move so he would inevidably win. i did and he went on a speech about how i made the right decision and why.
now, aparently the whole objective of the game, just like everything else, is to win. to get the king right where you want him, so he can't move anywhere else where you can't get him, is your primary goal. this, though, is not his point. the point is, you have to check all of your pieces first, make sure nothing is trying to attack you, to get the unnecessary things out of your way, and then try and put the opposite team in a position to where they have nothing else. then he went on about trading pieces for another.
ultimately, this spheal was my dad's little life lesson of the night.
not every game lasts forever, no matter how bad you want to keep playing. sometimes it just ends by default.
never trade down. only trade up, or don't trade at all.
