*rofl*
This is awesome XD. Here's a snapshot from the last episode of "The Gates" and a screenshot from my own Google search :D
http://i27.tinypic.com/11c7eko.jpg I love how they removed the Google logo and the domains.
It is interesting though, that the number of results differ (15.100.100 vs 6.500.000).
But this little scene also revealed one of the weaknesses of the show.
So, Dylan just told Nick that lots of the fictional stuff isn't true (holy water, sunlight, coffins, blah). Yet, first thing Nick does, is looking up random stuff on the interwebs. Like this will help (and btw... did he live on the moon for the past 40 years?? How can someone not know this stuff??) And if someone tells you, that the traditional stuff (like sunlight) won't work, how can you expect to find the true answer in Google's #1 search result?
Some other stupid stuff Nick did in this episode:
His officer confronted him about Dylan. Nick tells him that the guy is ok and should be left alone. Of course the officer is suspicious, because Nick would never have defened that guy 2 days before. And what does Nick do right after the officer left? He tries to call Dylan to warn him! How stupid is that guy??
Next, he visits the crime scene to check out if there are any traces of the body. Why don't he draw a frigging map and put it on the table of the suspicious officer?
Oh, and of course, right after that he gets attacked by Dylan, who threatens him not to reveal anything. So, obviously Vampguy is just as stupid as Copguy. This place has two observation cameras installed, btw.
The Gates is an entertaining show, but the sheer stupidity of the writers is amazing. I guess from now on I'll just watch it to see how low it will get.
