First Real Website

Mar 05, 2006 01:11

Recently, I've had a friend request that we work on making a website for him. After much frustration, and stabbing at things, I've finally got it put together, and I'm rather proud of how it looks.

I think it's pretty good at a first stab at web design.

We're eventually going to get some decent pictures of James up. We had to kind of do some artistic mussing to get something that looked presentable.

It's http://www.jameswesterfield.net if you want to check it out.

Edit: The actual site is hosted by comcast. Someone else is responsible for the DNS forwarding and they are using a service that includes a popup window; if you are not using a popup blocker (the new versions of both Internet Explorer and Firefox [hopefully you are using Firefox] both include popup blockers), be warned. I was not aware of this until I actually viewed the forwarding page; I sincerely apologize for any popups you may have suffered and we are currently working on a solution.
