'As astronomers gaze deeper into space, they are looking farther back in time.'
I never realized that this was how they were seeing these things from the universe being born...doesn't it break all kinds of commonly held assumptions and laws that gazing deeply in space is gazing back in time... It makes time a much different shape than the way I experience...or maybe time is a big fake... Paradox paradox...that sentence is.... and that people study this...I have all respect for scientists, mathematicians....
okay back to more ordinary subjects.
Waiting in Latvia for my British family permit...which I really hope they give me! Days spent mostly with, as usual, writing, Tibetan, and so on. Our house in London right now is not the best, but there is possibility to move into a nicer place (garden terrace, central location!), if all goes well, and I really hope it does, but if it doesn't I suppose that is all right too. Our place now is actually good, though small, but best of all very affordable... I'm a bit tired of always running on fumes, but Bair and I both want to remain flexible in our lives, until...maybe forever. We always feel like we have to be ready to drop everything in a minutes notice and go live in Nepal or wherever.
Its funny, I keep thinking decisions will be made and life will be settled, but it is never settled... it's more like navigating a course of river, everything inexorably going forward, and all you can do is float right side left side and try to stay aware until going over the giant waterfall :)
