BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I got a haircut yesterday, and I get it from the same Vietnamese woman. She never remembers me, never remembers my name, haircut or anything about me, I have been seeing her for about 3 years. She always runs the same conversational script, "So are you working today, or off from lunch." I vary my answers every time, she never notices. She gives a good, quick haircut.

This time, she asked if I wanted "Feenthger lenwgth" hair. I feather my hair in the front, a jagged spiky edge. I thought she had some recall this time, because she had never asked the question before, so I said yes. Next thing I know, she shaved my entire head down to "finger length" hair. I have a military-style haircut, or at least that is what I call it, so nobody tries to associate me with a white homey like "eminem". Urban style just isn't good in professional circles.

Besides that, things are going really well business-wise. Adobe Flex and AIR is out, and the whole "Rich Internet Application" initiative is exploding, ever since heavy use of AJAX in Google's mail. Building fancy front-ends is what I have been doing my whole career, now its a new wave simply because its fancy. Everyone has forgotten that "usability" is what is actually pushing this - things are simpler, friendlier and easy to use now.

The media for Today: My dad's birthday was weekend before last. My girlfriend decided to bake him a multi-layer cake and make chocolate dumbells to put on top (dad is a personal trainer)... it was phenomenal.
