Two things that irritate me right now:
1) Credit card companies that already charge up to 5% on a transaction decided to put a 1-3% "foreign transaction fee" on all purchases outside of your native country. Consumers sued the shit out of credit card companies, and they
settled last year, but now they charge a 1-3% "conversion charge" as if they were a money changer, even though there is no cost to them.
2) If you purchase something on the Internet, you are still supposed to pay a
State tax on it. It is a law they currently don't see reason to enforce in most states, but since it is a law and there is money to be made, eventually they will. Formerly if you buy something on the Internet accross State lines you don't owe sales tax on anything.
