I love El Bait Shop!!!
So Monday nights I go out to El Bait Shop. It's this really nice pub-like bar in DSM by the Science Center.
I LOVE IT.
I went last night and there was only 3 people there, aside from the bartender. Two of the guys there were kinda annoying everyone...talking to everyone, just being annoying. But soon after I came in, they bought all 5 of us jager bombs.
Then I got my Strongbow on tap for the first time. After that I was invited over to sit with the other guy who had moved off to sit elsewhere away from the annoying guys. There were 2 other guys over there. Apparently they either bartend or used to bartend there and so they were talking with the bartender. I got an Ace Berry, which is really good. Then the bartender, for dealing with the annoying guys, gives all 5 of us a tank bomb (soco, peachtree, red bull). Then I got a small Rogue Hazelnut something...I think.
Guess what my tab was? $8.
Seriously, that was amazing. So I gave the guy an $8 tip.
Buuuuuut. I logged into my bank account last night, and again this morning. There's a pending transaction for El Bait Shop of $9.60. So I'm thinking he didn't let me leave him a 100% tip, but only a 20% tip and changed it on me. I dunno.
It was just plain amazing, though.
So tonight I get to tear it up at the saddle, though. Let's see if the gay guys tonight can match up to the straighties at the bar last night and actually buy me drinks this time.
