...Or at least the first one I'm proud of.
-the soundtrack is gay. I am so sick of listening to the same riff.
-I had to cram so much crap into a minute. I'm the one who did the editing and I still can't tell what's going on in some parts, the cuts are so fast.
-It's subtle. It's so subtle, you can't even tell it's a commercial or what the product is.
-the product name is gay. I let someone else choose it because she was nice enough to do the flash for us.
-There are only two pieces of dialogue, and one of them is totally inaudible. Maybe we'll voice it over later--the asian guy at the end is supposed to be asking me, "are you ready yet?"
See, these are all the excuses I have to make before I let anyone watch, and yeah--there's a lot of stuff wrong with it. But that doesn't stop me from being so proud of it and myself for making it. Here's my baby:
"Sacha and Hairgel" ----> Quicktime 7
low-res;
medium This is my comm tech project--a 1-minute TV spot for a hair product, starring, directed by, and edited by me. I skipped classes, skipped sleep, and still wasn't finished so I skipped some more because I love doing this stuff so much.
My group was pretty crap. There's two asian kids, both named Yang. Guy Yang didn't really do anything except wear my pants while he was playing soccer, because I can't play. Good at soccer, but can't hold a camera for shit. Girl Yang did the flash logo for us. She's like, the regional flash animation championship winner or something. Kyle's a pretty awesome guy and did most of the filming as well as falling over during the soccer scene. Adam gave me probably the best performance and my favourite scene in the whole thing. Thanks.
