Damn! Kanji couldn't help but think to himself as he stepped into Rise's Zuri district apartment. How'd he get stuck in the crummy Urdine district? This place was awesome! It was so big and so clean, and the decor was simple and modern and cozy... He was definitely jealous.
Waking up in Koan City had been terrifying, to say the least, but now that he had found both Yosuke and Rise, it was feeling more like an adventure. He'd definitely rather be with Naoto or Souji or even Chie or Yukiko than Yosuke, but it was way better than being alone. Going home didn't seem so impossible with his two of his shadow-battling best friends at his side. They'd made it out of the freaky bathhouse, they could sure as hell make it out of some city. There weren't even monsters here! He'd be back with his Ma in no time.
"Rise-chan, this place is pretty awesome! You got a hot tub in here or somethin?" Kanji laughed as he glanced around. Big kitchen, fancy living room, he could even see a balcony outside! It was nothing like anything he had ever seen in Inaba. He was sure Rise, being famous and all, and Yosuke with his parent's money was probably used to living like this, but to Kanji it felt more than ever like he was in a different world. "Your place just like this, Yosuke-senpai? You're just downstairs, right?"
