I don't have it in my hot little hands yetviscioustartJuly 23 2007, 02:55:31 UTC
And resisting reading spoilers is a serious test of my will-power and I wonder how much longer I can wait. I was dumb. I ordered my copy from Amazon, but it has to ship to my APO so GAWD only knows when it will arrive. I assume this week sometime. I am nearly tempted to go buy the copy at the pX and return my Amazon copy to the pX when it arrives. Ethics shmecics. I just don't think I can hold off much longer. And it doesn't help when my husband says to me, "How does it feel not to be reading HP knowing the rest of the world is..." Rubbing salt into the wound, he is. UG.

Erk! I sympathise. I did consider an online retailer but when i found out that I was definitely going to be able to buy it locally, I scampered off to order in Wangfujing. I suppose you could always buy it and then donate the other book to someone? :D Seems like there's an excess of copies. There was someone on my friends list who was very sad that she didn't have the funds to buy the book and her mother wasn't buying it for her so I sent her a gift voucher for the book on the same day her kindly father went out and bought it! :D So there's multiple HPs floating around everywhere :D
And it doesn't help when my husband says to me, "How does it feel not to be reading HP knowing the rest of the world is..." Rubbing salt into the wound, he is. UG. Man, did you glare at him? :) I would have!

I did glare at him and probably made some sort of unthankful comment!
I am sending him to the pX today to buy the book--in fact my words to him were, "Don't come home without Harry Potter..." :-)
According to amazon.com they haven't even shipped my copy yet which irratats me as it should have shipped by now. Sometimes they can be so frustrating.
