When I feel trapped in my office and at work, sometimes I make myself giggle by thinking back on the very melodramatic line in the movie Born Free where Joy Adamson (played by Virginia McKenna) says passionately (about Elsa the lioness): "She was born free! She deserves to live free!" :D
I then imagine myself saying to my Boss of the Moment: "I was born free! I deserve to live free!" - and then scampering outside of the office and refusing to come back - like ever. :D
The music playing for this Great Escape is always My Favourite Version of the Born Free Theme. It's an instrumental version, not the whiney, mourney, dirge-like Andy Williams version. When my bro and I were little we had a French cassette of famous movie themes. Gone With the Wind, Ben Hur and Singin' in the Rain were favourites, but I grew very fond of the theme for Born Free as well.
When Big Yoda started to die, I lost the song, but my bro had a back up on his hard drive Obi, so he sent it to me :) I really, really love this version so much ...
Now I just need to find a beautiful African sunset in Beijing ...
A picturesque tree ... or any tree not killed by pollution for that matter ...
And some equally picturesque animals ...
