My doomed ships

Panama. My love of doomed ships keeps leading me to Panama. I was thinking this morning that I'd love to read an 'after it's all over' The Pretender fic where Jarod and Miss Parker are married, living a peaceful, loving existence somewhere beautiful. Then I realised that the chances of that happening were kind of slim unless they ran away to Panama together. :P Which then made me ponder my other beloved (yet seemingly doomed) couple, Michael/Sara - who are also probably not likely to have a happy existence anywhere except Panama.

Hell, then I have to throw in Drug Countess Isabella and Sonny the Cop from Miami Vice. It's starting to look as though I'm going to have set up a beach-front villa / apartment complex at a Panamanian beach for all of my doomed ships ....

So presumably they all live near one another and look after each other's kids and complain about their kids. Little Michaela Scofield is always breaking out of her playpen, doodling on herself with blue pen while showing a marked aptitude for ironing. Even more incorrigible is Jarod Jr who keeps impersonating people on the telephone and racking up huge bills on his parents' credit cards.

They probably all hang out together and reminisce on the days when their loved was Doomed and all the trials, tribulations and adversity they had to overcome in order to be together. Jarod will recount fond stories of the times Miss Parker tried to kill him and she'll tell of all the times he trapped her in weird places, got her arrested and gave her flu. Michael will ruefully confess that he lied to Sara and got her poor father killed and ruined her career while Sara will grimace and say nothing except: "But he is very good at origami".

It will be a peaceful and bucolic existence and when the odd bounty hunter comes to Panama to try to drag them back to the States, they'll all look out for one another.

I need to start going for less doomed ships.

panama, miami vice, jarod/miss parker, my doomed ships, prison break, the pretender, michael/sara
