Icon insanity

I was just looking at an icon post:

Rules:

+ comment
+ no stealing
+ no hotlinking
+ no altering
+ do not redistribute

So staccato. What will come next?

*grin* When I see bossy rules like that, or rules that exceed more than 5 items, I don't want to take any of the icons in case the creator comes after me with a meat axe :P

And isn't the 'no stealing' a bit excessive? Either 'no stealing' means you cannot use (unlikely in this instance), or you cannot use without credit (already stated: credit), OR you cannot claim as your own (already stated, hello, 'credit').

I know, as a disclaimer it uses too many redunancies :P Sometimes you'd think that the person had sculpted Michelangelo's David or something :P

Hm... I've never thought much about those disclaimers. I often don't read them.

I have a bad habit of reading almost everything I see - which kind of slows me down sometimes. A lot.

With a lot of communities, I often skim the posts. Also, if I'm behind on reading my flist (like if I've just got back from vacation), I often read a filter of the journals and communities I want to read most.
