Interesting 'know yourself' meme & 2 icons I like and a vid
I saw the meme at kiaforrest's LJ. No I won't be sharing my results :) Meme is here. I've asked Stephen to give me a view on how it works because to be honest, I couldn't choose between some of the options and I'm intrigued about how it figures out your personality.
amsie recently made a Helo icon which has such lovely and warm colours in it :) I love warm Autumn colours. Not for the first time do I wish my name was Autumn. Winter would also do but Autumn is so very pretty. I also found a Calvin icon but I have no idea who made it. It makes me laugh. (amended post to put icons side by side to save space :) Also for those who like Sarah McLachlan, I saw some nice icons posted here.
In other things, repr0b8 made a beautiful Sharon video using the Dido song White Flag. The video can be downloaded here. Normally I don't like Dido's voice (bar a handful of songs) because she sounds like she has a nasal blockage and wants to be Toni Childs when she grows up but this song is so very, very lovely and the video is haunting. "I will go down with this ship and I won't put my hands up and surrender. There will be no white flag above my door. I'm in love and always will be".
I love the line: "I won't put my hands up and surrender. There will be no white flag above my door". Not only is it a very beautiful line but it's just so Sharon. Realistically though ... I think we all know that there are times when we have to give up - but let's hope Sharon never does! For those who want the mp3, baidu has heaps of links. Dido is very popular in Asia! Note - don't download the first mp3 in the list - I tried that one and it has bubbles in it ....
