Blurb: Set just after 1.09 Desperate Times which was such a suspenseful and painful cliff hanger. I’ve deliberately not included this fic in my ongoing fic The Brave: Missing Scenes and Book Ends because I’m trying to keep as much to canon as possible in that one and this one worked better as a standalone fic.
