iZombie: placeholder so I can write about Liv/Ravi at some point

It’s a good little series with unexpectedly well-drawn and lovable characters. The zombie part is actually just something that helps emphasise various relationships and how they all react to Liv … And needless to say, I love Ravi. I used to think he was just the cute comic relief, but now I’ve really come to realise that he’s her rock. He’s in every episode - just like her and he’s always there to help her, pick up the pieces, comfort her and just be what she needs when everything else falls apart.
I don’t think that the show will ever go there in terms of a romantic relationship with him. The show clearly prefers the more traditional-looking male like Major etc but I like that even though Ravi’s not shown as a potential love interest for Liv, he’s shown as being a smart, attractive male who has relationships. The actor himself says during an interesting podcast that normally a character like Ravi’s not treated as though he is attractive but the writers of iZombie never do that and so that gave him the freedom to act accordingly.
