Some Star Wars fic recs (updated 21 Feb 2016)
I'm definitely slanting more towards the Rey and Poe side of the ship although I've been writing Rey/Poe, Rey/Finn and Finn/Rey/Poe ... The tricky thing with writing Rey/Poe is that you don't want it too sappy and silly or it falls out of character fast, especially when the two characters don't have any converrsations during the actual movie. Just some recommendations on some of the fics I've loved so far. Most of them are Rey/Poe at this stage but I'm still working my way through fic.

Comment: Hard to describe, but it's about Poe being at the point when he might be prepared to sing in front of Rey. Beautifully written and not saccharine at all.

Comment: Very explicit fic and I generally don't read explicit fic because of cringe factor but this one is very well-written and very much in character.

Comment: This fic is absolutely darling. It's romantic and sweet, but has lashings of humour and cuteness in it which at all times stops it from being saccharine. I love the idea of BB-8 as a mechnical Cupid.
In the Darkness of my Nights series by faithharkness.
Crosses over with the Diversion series by faithharkness but this one focuses on Ben Solo-Kylo Ren and his interactions with Jessika Pava. There's a lot of Rey/Poe alluded to in the wings.

Comment: I tried my hand at writing this but this is so, so much better. I can totally totally see this happening. This is the fic I've been wanting but wasn't sure how to write. They talk about the torture at the hands of Kylo Ren but there's also the fact that Rey is no longer alone. Most of all, there's the commonality of both being pilots, which is partly why I started shipping these two. They're both gifted pilots and I love this bit in particular: "Rey wipes the floor with him on their first race. she half expects him to be indignant, or at least demand for a rematch, but when he pops out of X-Wing the first thing he yells across the runway at her is, “You’re teaching me that trick!” he delights in learning what she knows.

Comment: This is the fic I’ve been waiting for. Rey and Poe go on a mission together! Well-written with some excellent detail, the writer’s got a very nice tone of writing and the story has lots of potential. Can’t wait to read more.
