I enjoyed this episode of Game of Thrones - it's so incredibly good to get away from the horrible rape story-lines (and anything to do with Ramsay Bolton) and focus on the mythology of this world. The White Walkers are a particularly intriguing facet.
I loved the character of Karsi, played by Danish actress Birgitte Hjort Sørensen.
Karsi is the chieftainess of a wildling clan in Mance Rayder's army and can be reasoned with - unlike others.
She's a mother
She's also a fierce warrior
Spooky scene when Jon Snow looks up and sees the White Walkers on the mountain top, looking down over them ...
Quite possibly the most terrifying scene in the episode ... Karsi has been fighting valiantly but when she looks up and sees Child Wights, she is completely undone and overwhelmed - leading to her death their their hands ...
The Night King raises his hands and raises the dead ... turning them into Wights :(
Karsi included ...
So bleak but oddly beautiful ...
So typical though that they introduce such a wonderful, strong, intriguing female character - and kill her off immediately. I wish we could have had Karsi with us for a bit longer ...
