Chinese Pregnancy smocks ...

I'm told that Chinese women don't like to disclose that they are pregnant within the first three months of pregnancy. Nonetheless, every time one of my colleagues falls pregnant, it's easy to know because she IMMEDIATELY starts wearing a radiation-proof pregnancy smock so the computer won't harm her baby. They look a little bit like what you wear when you go and have an x-ray. If you go here, you'll end up with some really hilarious hits.

I am really sceptical of how effective they really are and wonder if it's not just a money-spinner for the manufacturers. When one of my colleagues was pregnant, I saw her holding a cushion in front of her stomach! To protect the baby from radiation! That same colleague was also wearing sunglasses one day to type and I asked her why she was wearing sunglasses and she told me it was to protect the baby! I find it kind of funny :D I was just talking to one of my colleagues then and she said very earnestly: "Well - we can only have one baby, so it's extra precious". :)

At the same website, you can also buy mascot outfits. For instance, how about these panda outfits? :D
