Books: Sally Lockhart series; Television: New Amsterdam
When I was in Hong Kong, I picked up the Sally Lockhart series by Philip Pullman. I like it much, MUCH better than the His Dark Materials set and am enjoying it so much that I am trying to force myself to read slowly so that I don't finish it too fast :)
I haven't watched the BBC adaption yet starring Billie Piper as Sally Lockhart but am really looking forward to it. Will write more when I finish the series :)
In other news, I'm about to start watching:
- the new series New Amsterdam
- Life is Wild, yet another cancelled show :)
Also when I was in Shanghai, I bought:
- copies of the movies Silk, There will be blood, Alien vs Predator 2 (for my brother!),
- a British series called Waking the Dead
- a series called How I met your mother
Today, I bought the dvds for:
- the new BBS Sense & Sensibility
- Montana Sky (cringe)
- August Rush
- Love in the time of cholera (even though I hated the novel)
- Tin Man (even though I hated the first episode :)
- Persuasion (the old Amanda Root/Ciaran Hinds version)
