Import Gaming Highlight: Dating Sims & Softcore Hentai
Greetings to all! I’ve been meaning to write about several import games for a while but the innate urge to procrastinate and simply post pictures and videos always gets the better of me. Will I ever best the beast? I’m going to attempt to do so as we speak!
Anyway, on to the meat of my post! Please note that the following are all Nintendo DS games.
Days of Memories (SNK) - Released on June 14th, 2007:
Originally a mobile phone game available in Japan, its popularity had prompted the release of an NDS game adaptation which collects the first 3 games into one cartridge for your convenient gaminging experience. In each game, you play as a male whose primary goal is to meet and finally court your favorite SNK herorine (Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Metal Slug, etc.). All the while, expect to run into scenarios with each SNK series cast of male characters (which may be unfortunate for some).
Each of the three seperate games in Days of Memories contain their own seperate set of SNK girls to oogle and since the game is obviously targeted at the otaku-masses, expect to see fan-favorites such as Mai Shiranui in revealing fan-service oriented attire. Exactly how much more boobage could she offer? It boggles the mind!

Note: A lower bargain edition of this game will be released on April 24th so that you can avoid the $50 void common to most imports.
Days of Memories 2 (SNK) - Release on April 24th, 2008:
Just in case you didn’t think you could get enough of the SNK girls in the first version of the DS adaptation, Days of Memories 2 is going to be released later this month. Like its predecessor, the NDS version will include 3 seperate games each with their own individual scenario. One of the major differences this time is that one of the scenarios features the player as a girl who yearns for the affection of a handful of SNK guys! (the exclamation point indicates that I am excited about meeting Rock Howard)

Doki Doki Majou Shinpan! (SNK) - Released July 03rd, 2007:
In this game, you become a high school student by the name of Akuji who has been asked by a mysterious angel, Lulu, to investigate a witch who has snuck into his school. Apparently, the only way to figure out if a girl is a witch is to look for a certain suspicious witch’s mark that only makes itself visible when the girl’s heart is in “doki doki” mode (pounding in otherwords).
Now, how do you think that you could make a girl’s heart gp “doki doki”? Well, here’s where the softcore hentai concept plays in. When you initially meet a girl for investigation, naturally she won’t let you near her. That’s why you must challenge her to a battle and upon her defeat, she succumbs to your inquisition. Using the stylus, you “strategically” touch the girl in various places on her body…but of course, don’t forget that comforting words and eye contact are a must in order to get her into the “mood”.
The sequel to this game was announced at TGS 2007 and will be released later this summer. Its title is Doki Doki Majou Shinpan 2 Duo. I don’t know about you, but this game is much too quirky to pass up!
