- paris has LOTS of stairs. my ass already feels way sexier.
- however, the positives to walking up a lot of stairs are outweighed by all the freakin JUNK FOOD i eat here.
- pretty much the only kind of breakfast cereal they eat here is chocolatey. no joke. it's an 8 year old's dream. it's like cocopuffs except they have about 20 different brands of cocopuff-esque cereals. even the granola has chocolate in it.
- i can't seem to find a cookie for less than 2€ ... bizzare.
- french keyboards are messed up, thus it takes me a million times longer to type legibly. the most notable difference is you don't have to press shift to get an exclaimation mark, which goes to show how FUN LOVING the french are. !!! !!!!!! yes. !!!
- pictures speak more than words and i've been taking a million. i shot 3 rolls of film at versailles today. it was so beautiful and lush and decadent, i wanted to go back in time and be a french courtier and chill with marie-antoinette.
- i've been touristing around by myself while marion's in class and i've really been enjoying the solitude and the ability to just putter aroound at my own pace, with nobody to answer to. kind of the opposite of being at home. oh, vacation!!!
- there's nothing in the sky here, if that makes any sense. coming from vancouver the sky is covered with wires for busses and skyscrapers and the skytrain and street signs, but not here. the busses are all deisel; the street names and streetlights are all on the sides of buildings and the only thing that sticks up into the sky is the eiffel tower (which incicdently was a lot more staggeringly amazing than i thought it would be)
- oh, and the tap water here sucks, but apparently it's pretty good for europe. i feel sorry for europe. i miss tasty tap water.
i think that's all i can think of to write... off to have dinner now and then to chill in montmartre and drink in front of a church and go to a huge sex supermarket. hah!
i have 3 more full days in the city until i go to amsterdam (!!!!!!!!!) and then home. and i do miss home and have been thinking a lot about it and as much fun as i am having here, nothing compares to vancouver, home sweet home.
