So... it's been a really long while since I updated this thing. Prepare for long long update, because there has been a lot going on. Hence the lack of updates, oh surprise. ~.^
BTW, you can also just skip the huge amounts of text and just go to look at the pictures. House renovations and puppy pictures are in there towards the end.

Life has been....eventful... )
I remember when we used to go visit Grandma in the hospital though. She had a Staph infection so she was in the hospital for a long while before the end. Going to the hospital to hold her hand even though we knew that she didn't even realize we were there anymore. I still remember the look on Mom's face every time we left.. trying so hard not to cry... trying so hard to be the strong one for me.
My grandparents had their 60th anniversary before my Grandmother died. Before she went into the hospital too. I remember how much it hurt Grandpa that Grandma didn't remember, didn't know what he was talking about.
It hurts a lot to be the one on the outside... the one that is "forgotten." They say that activity and stimulus help to keep Alzheimer's at bay though. Sadly, as hard as it is, the best thing you can do is go to visit and talk to her. <3
