1: If your photo is to dark you should change it so copy your base and set it to scree,my setting 20%

2: I think that brown layer is really nice effect,It's one of my favourite so I use it in almost every tutorial.
Layer>>New fill layer>>Solid color and use this #150000,set to exclusion 100%.

3: For strong effect go to Layer>>New adjustment layer>> Hue/Saturation
In Saturation : +8

4: Photo need more colors an as traditional I put here selective colour so go to Layer>>New adjustment layer>>Selective Color
Reds: 0/12/45/0
Cyians: 100/-96/100/100
Blues: 100/100/-100/100
Neutrals: -15/0/2/-10

5: I need to add more yellows and blue so put next selective colour layer.
Reds: 0/30/80/0
Blues: 0/100/-98/0
Whites: 30/0/0/0
Neutrals: 15/0/-17/0

6:And the last step is optional.It depends how photo looks like. If it's clear    
enough you don't have to make this step.
Copy your base,put on the top and set to screen 20%
