It bothered him. He wasn’t really sure why it was so much, but the point is, it was.
Typically when he didn’t get along with a work associate, he just stopped working with them. Once that job was over he simply didn’t request their participation on any future cases. It was something he’d never really thought about before but now realized how much he had taken that for granted.
With Kitt, not working with him wasn’t an option. The fact that he didn’t know what his partner was capable of was simply dangerous and yet they hadn’t been able to find common ground to build any sort of relationship either. At least not a good one and the way things were going was just as detrimental.
Keeping that thought in mind, Logan headed down to the garage. His thought was simple; it was time for them to do something together that had nothing to do with work in any way, shape or form. In a passing conversation, Logan had offered to take Kitt for a ride on his bike, and at the time, Kitt had seemed interested. There was also a couple of things he had hoped to talk about with Kitt, things that he didn’t want to talk about on foundation grounds and thought the ride might be a good way to achieve both goals.
Arriving at the garage entrance he brought his hand up to knock before he realized his action. Hovering an inch from the door he hesitated, then brought his hand down and turned the knob and entered.
“Hey, Kitt!” He wasn’t sure if he should come right out and ask or be more discreet about it. Keith was a secret so discreet won out. Hopefully Kitt would understand. “Think you could give me a hand? I wanted to check some things out with the bike on the open road, figured you’d be good to have as a back up. Uh, you know… just in case.”
