1. Minus the Bear - Monkey!!! Knife!!! Fight!!!
A few weeks ago someone burned a copy of Minus the Bear - Highly Refined Pirates for use in the public stereo at my school. I loved the whole disc, but this track stood out.

2. Cat Power - Free
The beginning of this song was enough to make me want to listen to it again and again. I recently got into Cat Power on the suggestion of one of my friends.

3. Sonic Youth - Teen Age Riot
Can I say anything about this song that hasn't already been said? A really chill song, great for driving, jamming, insertanyotherverb-ing.

4. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Hello Tomorrow
A really trippy song from a strange commercial. When I first acquired this song, I had it on repeat for literally days. This song gets inside you and sticks.

5. Cocteau Twins - Lorelei
I also started listening to the Cocteau Twins on the suggestion of one of my friends. This is a track off their best album, Cocteau Twins - Treasure. The lead singers voice is unintelligible and amazing.

6. Boards of Canada - A Is to B as B Is to C
Trippy song off my LSD playlist. My only complaint is this song's length. I wish it were much longer. It feels unfinished.

7. King Missile - Detachable Penis
A hilarious song. The best part is the background singers who repeat in an airy voice the title of the song. It's fantastic.

8. Drop Trio - Wreck of the Zephyr
One of my friends is good friends with all the members of this band. They are great live. I don't like most music of this genre, but for some reason, these guys are an exception.

9. Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek
I don't know how they make this song sound like it does, but it's amazing. "Crop circles in the carpet" is my favorite line from this song. It's a great staring out the window song.

10. Explosions in the Sky - First Breath After Coma
I have nothing to say beyond "This is a good song." so I won't force it.

11. Pink Floyd - Interstellar Overdrive
The underground stoner song. Every pothead I've ever met knows this song. On the other hand, I haven't met a single person who isn't a regular marijuana user who knows this song. The part where the sound flips back and forth between the left and the right speakers is enough to make my eyes roll back into my head even when I'm sober.

12. Suede - Beautiful Ones
This is a good song.

13. The Faint - Worked Up So Sexual
I saw these guys in concert. I don't think they actually play any of their music live, but that doesn't really detract much from the atmosphere of the concert. A great show. A great song.

14. Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit
"Feed Your Head" is how I live my life. The drum line to this song is great.

15. John Lennon - God
My favorite John Lennon song. "I just believe in me, Yoko and me. That's reality." An awesome message by a great songwriter.

16. Richard Cheese - Closer
Hearing a jazz singer cover Nine Inch Nails and sing "I want to feel you from the inside" is hilarious. I love all of Richard Cheese's stuff.

17. Bob Marley & The Wailers - Redemption Song
My recent favorite song by Marley. Sawyer sings it on Lost in the last episode of the first season. It's a great song to belt out in the car with the windows down on a cold day.

18. Flogging Molly - Devil's Dance Floor
The opening percussion of this song is catchy. I like it. I'm repetitive, I know.

19. OK Go - Get Over It
More mainstream than most of the stuff I listen to, but nevertheless, it's still a good song.

I want to make copies of this CD for people. So, you guys, tell me you want one. And then make me a CD to trade. YAY

I've been listening to Journey - Separate Ways on repeat lately. It's such a great song.
